Pekiti-Tirsia Kali: Law Enforcement History

Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is being utilized more and more by law Enforcement and Military groups world wide. Here is a breif outline of some of the Law Enforcement organizations that have/are training in PTK. The list is continually growing and I will get an update from Tuhon in September.

DTSS Training History

Beginning in 1976 with the New York Police Department, Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje has trained and influenced the international Law Enforcement community through training, instructional, and certification programs conducted throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

1. National Law Enforcement agencies:
US – FBI, DEA, ATF
Philippine National Police
Germany Federal Border Force
Mexico AFI

2. National Training Academies
FLETC, FBI National Academy, DOE Central Training Academy

3. State Law Enforcement agencies:
New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Georgia, California

4. Municipal agencies:
As National Training Director for the Justice System Training Association (precedent to ASLET) and the US Police Defensive Tactics Association, Leo Gaje has trained and certified state and municipal law enforcement Instructors and Trainers from more than forty states across the US.

Through his feature appearance and service as Technical Advisor for Calibre Press’ SURVIVING EDGED WEAPONS training video, Leo Gaje brought the realization and threat of edged weaponry to police officers to the forefront of law enforcement training and use of force worldwide.
